Jeannie M. Hahl
I’m a social demographer and family sociologist with research interests in family formation, family instability, and family processes. My current research includes the transition to parenthood, the differential impact of an incarcerated parent’s sex on adult child incarceration, stepfamily formation, and relationship quality between stepfathers and stepchildren. A recent paper, published in Journal of Correctional Health Care (2014), calls for gender-specific HIV prevention programming in jails and prisons.
Although a native Texan, I have strong familial ties to Michigan. I also have a weakness for adopting stray and rescue animals. See below for further details.
